Port and Pastel De Nata; Portugal! THE DOURO VALLEY

Duoro Valley – Day Trip from Porto

We took the train from Porto's Sao Bento train station to Pinhao, ready for a full day in the Duoro Valley. The train left at 9.10am and we arrived back into Porto at 7.15pm. The journey was very scenic and the vines, high up the steep slopes of the valley were breathtaking.

Pinhao's train station is extremely beautiful and has some gorgeous painted tiles, depicting the steps taken to make wine in the Douro Valley.

Being in the Duoro Valley was extremely beautiful and a very peaceful place. We enjoyed watching the view, wandering along the river and we also enjoyed a packed lunch by the river and a beer at one of the riverfront restaurants.

We loved our time in the Duoro Valley.
