FULL ENGLISH; Ales, Dales and Blackpool rock! YORKSHIRE

York, Thornton Le Dale and The Dales

York

We stayed in Thornton Le Dale for three nights while in Yorkshire and began the trip with a day trip to York. We found this city to be full of character and beautiful, classical buildings. You could spend hours in this city just wandering the lovely shops and lovely streets.

We passed the River Ouse and stopped for an Earl Grey tea!

We sauntered down the Shambles, admiring the ancient buildings and cobblestone street.

We visited the York Minster, only from the outside unfortunately but were still able to appreciate the beautiful structure.

Thornton Le Dale

Thornton Le Dale was a beautiful little town, with small canals running past small cottages and through the town.

We took a walk down the Canal which lead us to a beautiful green field, filled with sheep and with amazing views.

The Dales

We took a day trip out to the Dales, as it had to be done while in Yorkshire! The drive was a pleasant one, with beautiful rolling hills in every direction.

We stopped in a lovely quaint town – Kettlewell and enjoyed the lovely scenery here.

We drove a little further through the Dales, and stopped at Aysgarth Falls, where three lovely waterfalls – each at different levels are. This made for a lovely walk, and a nice place to relax.
